These Terms & Conditions ("Terms", "Agreement") constitute a legally binding agreement between you (whether as a "Candidate", "Employer / Vendor", or general visitor) and TamilVelai ("TamilVelai", "we", "us", "our"), regarding your access to and use of our website, services, candidate unlock tools, and communication features. By accessing or using TamilVelai, you affirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.

1. The TamilVelai Marketplace Model

• Candidates Apply Free: Job seekers can browse job openings, create profiles, upload resumes, and submit applications to any job opening 100% free of charge, with no fees or hidden deductions.
• Employer Job Posting: Employers can register and post standard job openings free of charge.
• Candidate Contact Unlocks & Monetization: Employers may browse candidate resumes with masked phone numbers and emails. To access direct contact details and download unmasked resumes, employers utilize authorized unlock credits or complete pay-per-unlock payments via Razorpay.
• Discovery Platform Only: TamilVelai acts as an online discovery and technology intermediary. We do not act as an employment agency, headhunter, or party to any employment contract between candidates and employers. We make no warranty that a candidate will receive an offer or that an employer will find a suitable hire.

2. Meta Platform & WhatsApp Terms of Service

TamilVelai utilizes the Meta WhatsApp Business Cloud API operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. to provide automated verification tokens (OTPs), authentication alerts, and direct candidate-employer messaging links. By registering an account with a mobile number or initiating a WhatsApp inquiry, you expressly agree to the following terms:

• Consent to Receive Transactional Messages: You authorize TamilVelai to send automated verification messages, One-Time Passwords (OTPs), interview alerts, and critical account security notifications to the WhatsApp number associated with your account.
• User Eligibility & Compliance: You agree to maintain a valid, active WhatsApp account in compliance with Meta's Terms of Service and WhatsApp Business Messaging Policies.
• Prohibition on Harassment & Spam: Employers who unlock a candidate's contact information agree to use direct WhatsApp communications strictly for legitimate job interview scheduling and recruitment inquiries. Harassment, unsolicited commercial marketing, discriminatory language, or abusive messaging on WhatsApp is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate permanent account termination and forfeiture of all balances.
• Opt-Out Mechanism: You may revoke permission for non-essential WhatsApp messages at any time by replying STOP or adjusting your notification preferences in your profile settings. Account verification and password security resets may continue to require active OTP verification via WhatsApp or Email.
• Meta Liability Disclaimer: You acknowledge that Meta Platforms, Inc. provides communication infrastructure only and is not responsible for the contents of job postings, employment decisions, or interactions between users on TamilVelai.

3. Candidate Accounts & Obligations

As a candidate utilizing TamilVelai, you represent, warrant, and agree that:

• You are at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to enter into employment in India;
• All information provided in your profile, educational background, work history, and uploaded resume files is truthful, accurate, and not misleading;
• You will not misrepresent yourself, impersonate another individual, or submit fraudulent credentials;
• You will not use the platform for any unlawful purpose, including attempting to scrape platform data or reverse engineer platform algorithms.

4. Employer Responsibilities & Job Posting Standards

Employers registering on TamilVelai agree to uphold high standards of professionalism and legal compliance:

• Genuine Vacancies Only: All job openings posted must represent real, active vacancies with legitimate, identifiable businesses. Postings for multi-level marketing (MLM), pyramid schemes, commission-only scams, or adult services are strictly prohibited.
• No Candidate Fees: Employers are strictly prohibited from demanding application fees, training deposits, security payments, or device charges from job seekers. Any employer requesting money from candidates will be permanently banned, and their details reported to authorities.
• Non-Discrimination: Job postings must comply with all applicable Indian labor laws, equal opportunity statutes, and non-discrimination mandates.
• Accurate Details: Postings must clearly specify the role title, job location (district in Tamil Nadu), work arrangement, and genuine compensation details.

5. Candidate Contact Unlocks, Pricing & Razorpay Payments

• Pricing Terms: Pricing for candidate contact unlocks, unlock credit bundles, and featured job promotions are displayed in Indian Rupees (₹) within the employer dashboard and are determined by current admin platform settings.
• Payment Processing: Online payments are processed through our PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway partner, Razorpay. By placing an order, you authorize Razorpay to charge your designated payment method.
• Delivery of Digital Service: A candidate contact unlock is fully delivered and irrevocable the instant the candidate's phone number, email address, and resume become visible to the employer.
• Non-Refundable Nature: Due to the immediate delivery and irreversible consumption of digital contact data, payments and spent credits are strictly non-refundable, as detailed in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

The TamilVelai name, brand marks, logos, user interface designs, custom CSS styles, and underlying software code are the exclusive intellectual property of TamilVelai. You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the platform for personal job seeking or employer recruitment. You may not scrape, copy, reproduce, or redistribute any platform content without our express prior written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

TamilVelai is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We do not verify the background, character, or claims of every candidate or employer. Users are urged to exercise independent diligence and caution before attending interviews or extending job offers.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, TamilVelai, its founders, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, hiring opportunities, or data. Our maximum aggregate liability for any claim arising out of your use of TamilVelai shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to TamilVelai in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or ₹1,000, whichever is less.

9. Account Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend, deactivate, or permanently terminate any account, job posting, or candidate profile immediately without prior notice if we detect fraudulent activity, spam, abusive behavior, violations of these Terms, or non-compliance with Meta's messaging rules.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any legal dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of TamilVelai shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
